There’s a key concept to equality and treating others fairly and equally…consistency.
Consistency in equality is treating all people with the same respect all the time, and it starts small and gets big. The details of our lives and how we consistently treat others, from the smallest things to the biggest things, add up to a big fight against racism, stereotypes, and prejudice.
Consistency belongs in our words, classrooms, places of work, where we worship, shop, with our pastimes, and everyone we go. Had a bad day? Don’t take it out on others, be kind even when life is not, drive and show respect for other drivers…and do it consistently. Respect all, all the time.
